We’ve finally found our signature cocktail for the season: The Hound House Harvest Mule.

We love to entertain and a signature cocktail always adds a special touch to any gathering. We stayed as local as we could with this one! Litchfield Distillery in Litchfield, CT is not far from us and we are huge fans of their spirits. They offer tours and tastings which make for a fun and informative afternoon. And the maple syrup…no words! They age locally made maple syrup in their used bourbon barrels. It has this rich, smoky, bourbon-y flavor that is amazing. For the apple cider, we turned to Blue Jay Orchards in Bethel, CT. It is another great place to visit during the fall—from the pumpkin patch to apple picking, it is a quintessential Connecticut experience. Fresh, local ingredients make all the difference! We love this cocktail and hope you will, too.
